A few days earlier when Nagarjuna inagurated a a jewellery showroom in Kakinada, Hyderabad, he told those present that Lord Shiva had not blessed yet.

Yesterday, a relieved and happy Nag announced, "Damarukam is releasing in Karthika maasam (Month of Karthik -- an auspicious one). I'm very happy about it and hope it will be a hit."

The film was delayed due to various financial issues.

"I felt bad but it has taught me patience and to trust people in the industry," said Nag, reading out from a chit of paper. "I generally don't come with anything but today I did."

He made special mention of Dasari Narayana Rao, Alankar Prasad, Shiva Prasad Reddy, Prakash Raj and RR Venkat and thanked them for all their efforts to help in the release of the film.

Nagarjuna praised the producer (RR Venkat of RR Movie Makers) as he said, "It requires guts to make a film like this. We need to have such producers. I'm ready to work with him any time."

Undoubtedly, the delay in release of Damarukam has affected the release of other films.

"Fans are disappointed. I couldn't face them. Such a thing hasn't happened in my 26-years career till now," he said.

Yet, Nag is positive about the film. "I have full faith in Damarukam. The technicians and artists have worked so hard. The director Srinivas Reddy has made this film well. It's a trendsetting film and a feast for the eyes," he said.
