Shankar Nag

Late actor Shankar Nag is all set to return on screen in a film titled Pravaadi produced by Anaji Nagarag. Shankar Nag's appearance has been made possible by the use of graphics.

"The actor will hog two hours of screen space and theatre artistes from across the state will be seen essaying supporting roles," says director Ziaullah Khan.

The film, he says, deals with 22 crucial issues that affect society at large. The screenplay is also said to be first of its kind. "I needed a powerful mass medium like cinema to reach across these issues and there could have been no better person than Shankar Nag to play the lead role as he was a man who thought about other people and development of society," adds the director.

Khan says that this project has been in the pipeline for over eight years now. "I have been working on the script for this long and wrote the dialogues only this year," he adds.

The film is being made on a budget crossing Rs five crore according to the director and he is very confident of getting a good response. "The Kannada audience has always encouraged good films and I'm confident about my script," he says.

A two hour CD on the making of the film will also be released. Pravaadi is expected to go on floors in February.
