The much-delayed Kannada film Ondu Kshanadalli (In a Moment) is releasing this Friday, October 5, across Karnataka.
The film is directed by Dinesh Baboo and produced jointly by Jaijagadish and his wife Vijayalakshmi Singh. It stars Tarun Chandra, Sanjjanaa and Bhamaa in lead roles.
Ondu Kshanadalli is a comical love story and not a suspense thriller as the title suggests, according to producer Jaijagadish.
The film has two heroines and the hero is not in love with either of them, he says, adding that the film is based on a story that happens on the spur of the moment towards the end of the first half.
The film is shot mostly outdoors unlike Dinesh Baboo's recent movies that have been shot indoors, Jaijagadish said.
Tarun Chandra plays the role of Shyam who grows up in another city before he lands in Mysore. Shyam's mother finds a match for him. But Shyam does not want to get hitched. He tries his best to get his marriage cancelled.
Says Tarun, "There is an element of curiosity in the film and I had enough scope to perform. The film has a cute love story that begins towards the end."
While expressing her happiness at working with Dinesh Baboo for the first time, Sanjjanaa says Ondu Kshanadalli is a light-hearted movie that audiences of all ages will enjoy. While the first half is laced with comedy, the movie takes a turn after the interval, she said.
Bhamaa, who is now busy working in three Kannada films, plays Divya, an innocent and homely girl. "I play a village girl in the movie. It was a great experience to work in a good team," she said.
Bhaskar, one of the key members of the Karnataka Bulldozers cricket team, plays the role of an inspector.
Giridhar Divan has scored the music while the background score is composed by Gautam Srivastav. Suresh Byrasandra is the cinematographer.
