The actor was excited about how he felt watching Traffic. "All the characters in the film are still in my mind. I loved watching Sreenivasan playing the role of the police constable. Even the man who talks to him at the vegetable vendor's place is still there right in my heart. On a lighter vein, I was thinking of playing the cop myself while I was watching the film but soon enough, I became a fan of Sreenivasan."
The actor added, "The superstar, played by Rahman, who is distraught when he is unable to do much for his daughter's illness with his clout is an amazing character. I am all thrilled about the film and am proud that Malayalam cinema, which has a very special place in my heart, has come up with such a gem," said Haasan.

The story has been inspired from an actual event that happened in Chennai where the heart of a youngster, who died in an accident, was carried via road to a hospital some hours away for heart transplant.Script and direction are the film's strenghts
