Four Malayalam releases this Friday!

After seven new releases in the last two weeks, four more Malayalam films will hit the screens today (December 7).

They are Shaji Kailas's Madirasi, Sunil Ibrahim's Chapters, Anil's Hide N' Seek and Bala's Hit List.

Here is a closer look at the movies.

Madirasi

Dir: Shaji Kailas
Cast: Jayaram, Meghna Raj, Meera Nandan

Shaji Kailas and Jayaram had teamed up to make Kilukkampetti two decades ago. Their new film Madirasi is a comedy scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman.

Meghna Raj and Meera Nandan play the heroines. Tini Tom, Kailash and Kalabhavan Mani are also part of the cast.

Madirasi is produced by Kichu Films and Impresario Motion Pictures. Shaji wields the camera and the music director is Rajamani.

Dir: Sunil Ibrahim
Cast: Nivin Pauly, Sreenivasan, Gauthami Nair, Rejeth Menon

Kurbaan Films and Campus Oaks are producing Chapters, directed by Sunil Ibrahim.

The film has Nivin Pauly, Rejeth Menon, Sreenivasan, Hemanth, Gauthami Nair and KPAC Lalitha in the lead roles.

"I can't say which genre the film begins to," says Sunil Ibrahim.

"Here certain situations are being narrated and the film is about the reactions of the characters to those happenings. Though some of the characters never meet, there is a link that connects them all. The basic element here is that there are certain unknown persons or events that influence our lives," he says.

Krish Kymal is the cinematographer and Mejo Joseph scores the music.

Dir: Bala
Cast: Bala, Aiswarya Devan, Sandhya

Actor Bala turns director with Hit List, produced under the banner of Arunachalam Pictures. The film is simultaneously being made in Kannada and Malayalam.

Hit List is an action thriller, with Aiswarya Devan and Sandhya playing the female leads.

The film will also have Prithviraj, Unni Mukundan and Naren in special appearances.

Cast: Divya Darshan, Natasha, Mukesh, Sankar

Anil's Hide N' Seek, produced by Sandhya Rajendran of the well-known drama troupe, Kalidasa Kalakendram of Kollam, will launch her son, Divya Darshan as the hero.

Natasha plays the female lead in the film.

Mukesh and Sankar play important roles in this love story.

The cinematographer is Anandakkuttan and the music director is Rajamani.
