Mammootty's son Dulquer Salman's second film, Ustad Hotel releases today. The film is directed by Anwar Rasheed.

He is competing with M A Nishad's No 66 Madurai Bus and Aji John's Namukku Parkkan.

Ustad Hotel

Director: Anwar Rasheed

Cast: Dulquer Salmaan, Thilakan, Nithya Menen

Anwar Rasheed has made three hits in his career-- Rajamanikyam, Chotta Mumbai and Annan Thampi. He also directed Bridge, which many feel is the best of the 10 films in the Kerala Cafe anthology.

Dulquer Salmaan plays an NRI boy named Faizi and the film essentially is about the warm relationship that he shares with his grandfather, Kareemkka (Thilakan), who runs a hotel in Kozhikode.

Scripted by Anjali Menon, who shot to fame as the director of Manjadikkuru, the film has been produced by Listin Stephen under the banner of Magic Frames.

Lokanathan is the cinematographer and Gopi Sundar has composed the music.

Director: M A Nishad

Cast: Pasupathy, Makrand Deshpande, Padmapriya, Mallika, Swetha Menon

Director M A Nishad has directed some fine films in the past and hopes to make an impression this time with a tale of love, lust, and revenge.

Varadan is travelling in a bus and during the journey he becomes friends with fellow traveller Padma. She is shocked by the tragic events that have happened in his life, when he narrates his story to her. The movie takes some intriguing turns from then on.

Pasupathy has returned to make a film with Nishad after working in his earlier film, Vairam. Theatre personality and Hindi actor Makrand Deshpande plays a baddie in the film.

Produced under the banner of NFC Entertainments, No 66 Madurai Bus has been scripted by K V Anil.

The cinematographer is Pradeep Nair and the music director is M Jayachandran.

Namukku Parkkan

Director: Aji John

Cast: Anoop Menon, Meghna Raj

Anoop Menon, who has been seen in some good roles recently, plays the lead as a family man. Meghna Raj plays his wife.

"Namukku Parkkan is one of the films that I have really enjoyed being part of. There is a genuine story in it," says Anoop.

Aji John, who has made the eminently forgettable film Nallavan, had directed this film based on a script by Jayan Sunoj.

Namukku Parkkan has been produced by Joy Thomas Sakthikulangara of Jithin Arts.

The cinematographer is S B Prijith and the music director is Ratheesh Vegha.
