Kannada cinema goers will have three films -- Huli, Rame Gowda Vs Krishna Reddy and Nayaka -- to choose from this Friday.

Kishore's dream of debuting as a lead hero in a Kannada commercial film comes true with Huli, a film is about a reporter and a cop who believe that public participation is the key to solving the issues plaguing the society. Kishore has played cop roles many times before but swears that this time there's a difference.

"I play a full length role in this film. This role is different from what I have played before. This cop believes in making people aware of their responsibilities. Also it is just not his professional life that is highlighted but also his love life," says Kishore. Jennifer Kotwal is the female lead.

This film that highlights certain current issues challenging the nation's progress is directed by Om Prakash Rao. Speaking about his director, Kishore says, "He has come out with an out and out entertainer. He knows what people like. Also he is a director who loves his art and artistes. He is very energetic and involved. Sometimes he used to be so involved in executing the script that he would forget my name! I used to be the 'black shirt' guy for him," he jokes.

Another incident that Kishore recalls is that of him falling out of a jeep while shooting. "I hurt my head and rushed to the hospital thinking that I was about to die! But thankfully nothing happened," he adds.

Rame Gowda Vs Krishna Reddy

Rame Gowda Vs Krishna Reddy, the other release of the week also deals with corruption in the society. The film is said to highlight the land scams that Bangalore is being faced with.

The film is said to have shades of Hindi film Khosla ka Ghosla in it. Ananth Nag, Rangayana Raghu and Shashikumar play pivotal roles. Newbie Rupesh is also part of the cast.

Nagesh is the director. Comedy, the team assures, is the high point of the film.

Will the film strike a chord just like the recently released Super that also exposed political lacuna?

Nayaka

After Shankar IPS and Gandedhe, one of Kannada industry's leading ladies, Ragini Dwivedi, returns to the big screen with Nayaka.

The long overdue film pairs her opposite first timer Naveen. The film is a "thrilling love story", according the unit. It is an incident that takes place involving a deeply in love couple who set out on a trip together.

"The character I play is so much like the real me. She is good to people who are good to her. Shooting for this film was challenging as major parts are shot while travelling on a bike. I have also performed some action. My look is also very natural," says Ragini.

The film deals with the mature relationship between two lovers and how the hero is ready to go to any lengths to save his lady love.
