Telugu actor Prabhas has completed a decade in films.
His first film, Eeshwar, directed by Jayanth C Paranji, released in 2002.
Since then, the tall and lanky actor has done 14 films with all the top directors of the industry including Suresh Krissna, Rajamouli, Krishnavamsi, V V Vinayak, Puri Jagannadh, Karunakaran, and Prabhudeva.
His last film, Rebel, directed by Larencce Raghava, worked well with the masses.
Prabhas is currently shooting for Koratala Siva's Mirchi.
Srikkanth, who's usually appeared in family entertainers, will now be seen in a 'historical' role in Devaraaya, directed by Nani Krishna.
The actor will essay the role of the Vijayanagara king Krishnadevaaaya as well as another character, Dora Babu.
The film is slated to release this week.
Gunasekhar is working extremely hard on his magnum opus, the period film Rudrama Devi, which will go on the floors some time early next year.
Since it's going to be the country's first stereoscopic film, he's making every effort to get the right team and technicians together. He had gone to Germany to do a test shoot.
Now he has enlisted the help of National Award-winning art director Thota Tharani to design the sets. Both Gunasekhar and Tharani have been visiting the monumental heritage of the Kakatiya dynasty that produced the queen Rani Rudrama Devi.
They have gone around the Ramappa Temple, the thousand pillared temple, Warangal fort and other historical vestiges of the Kakatiyas perhaps to ensure authenticity in the film.
Tharani is known for his accurate and authentic replication of historical buildings, the most famous example being the Madurai Meenakshi temple set for the film Arjun.
