There's no denying that Sonam Kapoor is daddy's little girl.

The actress is a proud daughter of Anil Kapoor, and claims that he deserves far more than what he has achieved.

With Father's Day around the corner, Sonam tells Sonil Dedhia just how much she loves her dad:

I am really proud to be Anil Kapoor's daughter.

My father has had a wonderful and illustrious career and has carved his own path. I don't want to sound bias but I feel he deserves more than what he has achieved.

I started working when I was 18 years old, and stopped taking money from him since then. At times he gets very upset and asks me why am I earning so much. I tell him it's for my family.

He has worked so hard all his life to become Anil Kapoor that I don't want to use his name as a stepping stone. Suppose I don't do well, I don't want my life to reflect on his. I don't want to taint his achievements.

He is proud that I am on my own. I want to create my own identity. People see me as Anil Kapoor's daughter but they also see me as a fashion icon. And also as Sonam Kapoor, who says all the wrong things! (laughs)

At times, he also embarrasses me, as he talks a lot about me in the media. He have been supportive with all my decisions.
