Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt gave the media a glimpse of their close friendship and great chemistry during the press meet to promote the TV reality show Bigg Boss 5, which they will host.
The two actors claimed that rumours that they had fought were untrue. For those who don't know, Salman had apparently had an ugly spat with one of Dutt's close friends at Dutt's wife Maanyata's birthday bash earlier this year.
That's all behind them now.
"Even if a fight did happen, it was between two brothers," Dutt said. "Salman is like my brother; I love him a lot."
Salman agreed. "Nobody should interfere," he said. "We give each other a boost with an injection to bring us up when we feel low. It's because we care for each other's health, looks, and career. But people think we got into a serious fight. We don't even know the people who claim to have seen us fight."
Then he added with a laugh, "If you want, we can replay the whole scenario again!"
Salman is still recovering from his surgery.
"The surgery went well," he said. "After the surgery, there was only 30-40 per cent pain. But as I started shooting in Dublin for my film Ek Tha Tiger, the pain increased due to the cold weather. Now, it is 50-60 per cent. It hurts when I talk. I will have to undergo another surgery after three-four months."
Sanjay Dutt, who is making his television debut with Bigg Boss, said, "Salman is like a younger brother to me. We have done a couple of movies together. And see the Bigg Boss promos. There is so much chemistry. It will be fun."
He continues: "It's a new thing for me to go on television. I am happy that Salman is with me. That will help me a lot."
So, which personality do they want in the Bigg Boss house? Salman says promptly: "David Dawan! Irrespective of how big the hotel is -- his habits never change. He points at the dishes laid out on other tables and asks the waiter to get the same order. He can even eat out of dishes kept outside hotel rooms!"
The Bigg Boss experience will do Dhawan good, Salman continues. "I want to see him in the house during the last three weeks, when people go on a diet as they get less food. I want David to be fit and fine. I would really like it if he controls his weight and looks after his health."
According to reports, Salman Khan will host only a few episodes. So how will Sanjay Dutt manage on his own?
"I will not be there for long because of my date problems. I will connect with Sanjay on the phone and give him some tips," says Salman.
This is their first small screen venture, but the two actors have teamed up for movies like Saajan and Chal Mere Bhai.
