Salman, Shah Rukh, Ranbir: Bollywood's Rs 100 crore club men

We've seen the women in the Rs 100 crore club. Now, it's time to look at the men.

The leaders of the club are the usual suspects like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor but there are a few surprises on the list as well.

We take a look at the hugely successful actors in the Rs 100 crore club.

Salman Khan

Films: Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Bodyguard, Ready, Dabangg

Ever since he hit a century with Dabangg, there has been no looking back for Salman Khan.

With five back-to-back hits in this league, Salman is at the top of his game.

He missed the double century mark by a whisker in Ek Tha Tiger, but he may just change all that with his next film, Mental, that will release early next year.

Shah Rukh Khan

Films: Chennai Express, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Don 2, Ra. One

Shah Rukh is fast catching up with Salman in terms of the number of movies in the Rs 100 crore club.

It all started with Ra. One. After that he has scored a century in multiple genres -- from action thrillers (Don 2, Ra.One), romantic musicals (Jab Tak Hai Jaan) and and family comedies (Chennai Express).

He has what Salman doesn't have -- a double century in his latest release, Chennai Express.

Ajay Devgn

Films: Son of Sardaar, Bol Bachchan, Singham, Golmaal 3

Unlike Salman and Shah Rukh, Ajay works in a larger number of films.

This means his centuries are punctuated by some much lesser earning films.

Nevertheless, he has his deserving place in the club with three comedies and one action drama.

His next with Prabhudheva called Action Jackson should keep his position in the club intact.

Aamir Khan

Films: 3 Idiots, Ghajini

Aamir is the founding member of the Rs 100 crore club, and the first to enter the Rs 200 crore club as well.

Ironically, over the years, his count hasn't increased due to his selective work.

His only major release since 3 Idiots was Talaash, and it ended around the Rs 90 crore mark.

But all that will change with his next film Dhoom 3, which is touted to be a Rs 200 crore venture.

Akshay Kumar

Films: Rowdy Rathore, Housefull 2

Just like Ajay Devgn, Akshay also has quite a few releases every year.

He entered the club with Housefull 2 and has been consistent with films that have done businesses of 60-80 crores. His other century was Rowdy Rathore.

With Boss around the corner, another Rs 100 crore affair may be in the offering.

Ranbir Kapoor

Films: Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Barfi!

Ranbir is the youngest in the club, with an unconventional start as well.

The offbeat Barfi! showed him in, while his out-and-out commercial film Yeh Jaawani Hai Deewani almost brought him a double century.

His next release is Besharam.

John Abraham

Films: Race 2, Housefull 2

Though he doesn't have a solo Rs 100 crore success to his name, John has starred in a couple of multistarrers which brought in the big bucks.

In Race 2, he was the villain of the piece while in Housefull 2, he added his brand of comedy.

His next release is Welcome Back.

Hrithik Roshan

Film: Agneepath

It may seem surprising but Hrithik has only one film in this bracket -- Agneepath -- to boast of.

He missed one earlier, when Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobaara ended its run at Rs 90 crores.

With Krrish 3 round the corner, this hero is already eyeing his next Rs 200 crore biggie.

Saif Ali Khan

Film: Race 2

Living a new phase of his career where he has half a dozen films coming up in the next two-three years, Saif enjoyed a shot in the arm when his Race 2 scored a century.

One now waits to see him score big as a solo lead and bring home another Rs 100 crore superhit.

Will his upcoming release with Tigmanshu Dhulia -- called Bullett Raja -- turn out to be that film?

Abhishek Bachchan

Film: Bol Bachchan

After being in the industry for over a decade, Abhishek managed to score a century with Bol Bachchan, bringing on the cheers.

Despite the hit combination of Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty, Abhishek more than made his presence felt in the film.

After missing out on a century with Dhoom 2, which ended around the Rs 90 crore mark, he should get at least double of that with his next film, Rs Dhoom 3.

Farhan Akhtar

Film: Bhaag Milkha Bhaag

For an actor whose last two solo releases, Kartik Calling Kartik and Luck By Chance, had ended under the 25 crore mark, Farhan Akhtar has seen the hugest jump amongst any other actor into the Rs 100 crore club.

While his Bhaag Milkha Bhaag ran a marathon and crossed the Rs 100 crore mark, one now waits to see the kind of distance that his next film, Shaadi Ke Side Effects, manages to cover.
