Bollywood stars are a fashionable lot. Sometimes, they look straight out of the fashion magazines but just that once in a while, they get it wrong. We decided to play fashion police, and take a closer look at how celebs stepped out last week.
White magic
At last week's Apsara awards, Kareena Kapoor sizzled on the red carpet in a white Paul Ka number. The actress rounded off the look with strappy sandals and red lips.
Deepika Padukone made things interesting as she stepped out for Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza's pre-wedding bash.
The actress wore a coral silk top with high-waisted pants and kept the look minimal with a bouffant and a Alexander McQueen clutch.
Quite a respite from those predictable cocktail dresses!
Sridevi could give starlets half her age a run for their money.
The actress wore a strapless Ellie Saab gown for the Apsara awards. Wish she'd paired it up with a better clutch and hairdo though.
Anushka Sharma ditched her jumpsuits and little black dresses for the awards red carpet.
The Sabyasachi velvet sari she wore brought the old-world glamour to the red carpet. Extra chops to her for that dreamy hairdo.
Shazahn Padamsee looked like she'd borrowed from one of her films' wardrobe as she arrived for the awards.
The actress wore a cutout Gavin Miguel gown.
Ameesha Patel flaunted her ample curves in a black mini dress as she arrived for Riteish-Genelia's bash.
She seems to be taking the whole less-is-more thing a little too seriously.
Singham actress Kajal Aggarwal seemed quite excited to be at the awards red carpet.
The Southern hottie dressed up in a white cutout sari-style dress for the ocassion.
Neha Dhupia kept up with her edgy fashion sense for the Ritiesh-Genelia bash.
She wore a Shiven & Narresh bodysuit and paired it with wide-legged pants. The outfit might have worked but we are on the fence about those shoulders.
How long before we get to see you in something other than Sabyasachi saris, Vidya?
I think it's time someone called a fashion intervention for this pretty lady because we are sure we'll be soon bored of this look.
What's with successful actresses and completely unimaginative wardrobes? Priyanka Chopra is fast emerging as the most boring dresser in tinselville.
