Ratan Rajput chose her life partner on national television in the reality show Ratan Ka Rishta recently. The television actress got engaged to Abhinav Sharma on the show, but decided to tie the knot only after two years.
Ratan has now become a household name, as she joins the ranks of Rakhi Sawant and Rahul Mahajan, thanks to this popular show.
Last week, Ratan had a great time chatting with Rediff readers. For those who missed it, here's the transcript.

Ratan Rajput answers, Hi Vij. Thank you for your concern, but I am happy with my decision. I haven't chosen my partner depending on his age or place but on the qualities. And i believe one should never regret their decision. Thanks! Ratan

Ratan Rajput answers, hmmm...no it wasn't difficult.main apne parents se close hoon and i discuss everything with them. as a girl mere liye it was an important decision lekin i wouldnt say ki difficult tha.

Ratan Rajput answers, hi raj:) why abhinavvv??! hmmm...because maine jo bachpan se ek dream dekha tha about the guy in my life...woh usse kaafi milta julta hai..he is caring and supportive..and independent..confident..hmm...ladta hai toh manaata bhi hai! kisi baat ko rokta hai toh samjhata bhi hai...and we respect each other...

Ratan Rajput answers, hi mahen :) jhoot moot ki shaadi kabhi hoti hai kya???!!! serious hoon tabhi toh humne yeh time liya hai...aur main ratan hoon, main kisi aur ki tarah kaise ho sakti hoon? :)but haan its true ki shaadi main kisi ko khush karne ke liye nahin balki hum dono ke future ko mind mein rakhte huye hi loongi!

Ratan Rajput answers, Hi Dheeraj, Lagta hai aapne meri sagaayi nahin dekhi, kyun ki uss din mere saath meri poori family thi! my family is a little camera shy lekin for the first time meri family tv pe dikhi because it was my sagaayi...and i must tell u ki it is very difficult to be around a lot of lime light when you dont belong to this industry...

Ratan Rajput answers, Abinash, humaari life humaari kahaan rehti hai...kuch hota hai toh news mein aa jaata hai aur kuch nahin bhi hota toh news pe flash hota hai! Chupaate hain tab bhi aap gussa ho jaate ho aur khulke bataate hain toh bhi aap gussa ho jaate ho...toh ab aap hi batao, kya karen?!

Ratan Rajput answers, Thanks Anantha :) I absolutely wouldn't give up acting after marriage. Main shaadi ke baad acting thodi na bhool jaungi...If I am offered interesting roles then I would definitely take them up.
