As the Bachchan family gears up to make room for the newest arrival, we look back at the last moments of Aishwarya Rai's pregnancy -- from the time she got admitted to the hospital to the time she came out with her baby daughter.
False alarm?
The actress first visited the Seven Hills hospital, in northwest Mumbai, on November 13.
She was accompanied by husband Abhishek, her parents Krishnaraj and Vrinda Rai, his parents Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek's sister Shweta Nanda.
Ash may have made the visit due to a false alarm or to complete some hospital paperwork. The visit did not last very long, and the family returned home late that night.
Amitabh Bachchan could hardly contain his excitement as he tweeted about how much he's looking forward to the new arrival in his family.
Aishwarya got admitted to Seven Hills hospital again the next day, at 11:30 pm. She arrived with the entire family again. This time, her brother Aditya and Shweta's son Agastya also joined in.
Hubby Abhishek Bachchan looked all charged up while he was clicked near the cars the family arrived in.
Amitabh and Abhishek, looking tired, ventured out of the hospital for the first time after Ash gave birth to her baby daughter.
While both were exhausted due to lack of sleep, excitement was clearly in the air.
Aishwarya was finally clicked when she left the hospital to bring her baby home today, around 4 pm, spending a good seven nights in the hospital.
While father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, mum Vrinda Rai and husband Abhishek accompanied the new mother, sister-in-law Shweta and mom-in-law Jaya Bachchan were presumable at home, preparing to welcome the baby.
