In the series of celebrations leading up to Vidya Balan's wedding on December 14, the mehndi ceremony took place on December 12 at the actress's Khar residence.
The do was attended only by close family and Vidya's friends from school and college.
Dressed in a Bengali sari and floral jewellery, the bride-to-be beamed at the cameras as she made an appearance.

The actress later joined her family members -- father P R Balan, sister Priya Balan, brother-in-law Kedar Nene and mother Saraswathy -- for a photograph outside her residence.
The couple is reportedly set to have a temple wedding in Chembur.

Yesteryear actress Rekha, in all likelihood, was the only film industry person to attend the intimate family affair.
The actress, who was recently inducted in the Rajya Sabha -- the upper house of the Parliament -- has often expressed her fondness for Vidya, who's an Iyengar like her.
