The 44th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) kicked off to a glittering start on November 20.
Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon lit the ceremonial lamp, and said that she was looking forward to spending time in Goa and appreciating Indian films.
"India has produced so many films rich in history of cinema. I am looking forward to meeting artists and watching films," the Stepmom actress said.

The festival saw a fair share of Indian celebrities too.
Rani Mukerji looked stunning in a white and gold sari.
Waheeda Rehman was honoured with the first Centenary award for Indian Film Personality of the Year. The government instituted the award to commemorate 100 years of Indian cinema.
The 77-year-old actress has starred in such brilliant films like Pyaasa, Guide, Kagaz Ke Phool and Lamhe.
R Madhavan sports a new look at the festival.
Other stars spotted at the festival included Kamal Haasan and Asha Bhosle.
