Veteran actresses Sridevi and Sharmila Tagore, among other luminaries from various fields, were felicitated at the Padma awards by Pranab Mukherjee, President of India, at Rashtrapati Bhavan's Darbar Hall on April 5 in New Delhi.
Sridevi, who garnered wide acclaim with her comeback film English Vinglish last year, receives her Padma Shree from the president.
Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, who has previously served as the head of Indian Film Censor Board and was chosen the UNICEF goodwill ambassador in 2005, receives her Padma Bhushan from the president.
