US president Barack Obama recently travelled to Columbia on a state visit to attend a summit and strengthen ties with the hispanic community in his own country.
Columbian singer Shakira met up with the Obama during a ceremony to restitute land to Afro-Colombians displaced from their homes by armed rebel groups in San Pedro Square in Cartagena, a city in Columbia.
The singing sensation addresses the audience as Obama listens during a ceremony, also attended by Colombia's President Juan Manuel Santos.
At the Americas summit, president Obama met with 33 state presidents and heads of state.
Shakira was one of the attendees who's also an activist working on behalf of disadvantaged children.
