Lootera director Vikramditya Motwane joined his team for his new film's music launch recently at PVR Andheri in western suburbs of Mumbai.

Dressed like her character in the film, leading lady Sonakshi Sinha hummed a few lines of Sawaar loon, a melodious number composed by Amit Trivedi for the film.

The actress, who is seen romancing Ranveer Singh in the film, talked candidly about the virtues of imperfections.

"I am far from being perfect. I feel being perfect is boring. Imperfection is something that I like," Sonakshi told reporters.

Actor Ranveer Singh, meanwhile, talked about his reservations about the character he was roped in to play in the film.

"I was frustrated from the fourth day of shooting itself.

"I felt I couldn't do it but it was our director Vikramaditya Motwane who helped me let go my fears. I explored a different side of myself as a performer," Ranveer said.

National award-winning music composer Amit Trivedi, knwon for his unconventional and chart-topping songs, has composed some melodious numbers for the film.

"The music of this film is a tribute to Pancham Da (R D Burman) in terms of melody and orchestration. I am happy that the music is getting good response," the composer said.

Inspired from O Henry's The Last Leaf, Lootera is a period romance set in Bengal.

The film is produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom Films, floated by four prominent filmmakers -- Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl and Madhu Mantena.
