The 54th annual Grammy Awards night belonged to two people -- singer/songwriter Adele who swept the show with six awards in top categories and Whitney Houston, who was found dead on Sunday, February 12, in a hotel.
But there were other headline makers who grabbed eyeballs with their outfits and performances. Here's looking at the highlights:
Lady Gaga
The songstress topped her egg act from last year's Grammys with an even more bizzare outfit made out of leotard and fishnets.
Gaga also planted a kiss on Sir Paul McCartney's cheek when she bumped into him at the awards.
R&B singer Rihanna, who performed with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, arrived in a sexy black backless number at the red carpet.
Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie wore a see-through lacy orange outfit and a slick hairdo for the event.
Late singer Amy Winehouse's father Mitch recieved a posthumous award for his daughter for her duet on the track Body And Soul with Tony Bennett.
The award was presented by Bennett himself.
Singer Jennifer Hudson sported a slinky black gown that accentuated her new svelte frame.
Hudson paid tribute to Whitney Houston, as she sang one of her songs on stage.
R&B singer Nicki Minaj gave tough competition to Lady Gaga in the bizarre dress department.
She wore an outfit fashioned after Red Riding Hood.
Diana Ross received a Lifetime Achievement award at the show. But the 70-year-old singing legend claimed she has no intention of ending her musical career.
Taylor Swift looked glamorous in her golden outfit.
Alicia Keys made a fashion statement in her black dress, and turned up hairstyle.
Bruce Springsteen kicked off the Grammy awards show this year with a great performance. The other wonderful performance of the evening came from Bruno Mars.
