What to expect on KBC 6 tonight!

The first episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati's sixth season commences today with host Amitabh Bachchan returning to the host's seat.

With 'Sirf gyaan aapko aapka haq dila sakta hai (Only knowledge can get you your rights)' as the show's new tagline, Bachchan will be seen with a host of new hopefuls contending to win the prize money.

Here's looking at the highlights from the opening episode.

The first contestant

Twenty one-year-old Amritsar resident Kanwar Surtej Singh is the first contestant to make his way to the hotseat.

An ardent Sunny Deol fan, the youngster shows off his acting and dancing skills during the show and even manages to get the Big B to dance with him.

Intially hesitant, Bachchan gives in to the young awestruck fan's request and shakes a leg to a bhangra number. 

The grand opening

The episode opens with the host reciting a special poem, highlighting the power of knowledge.

A brief rendition of a Salim-Sulaiman version of the celebrated Bengali song Ekla Cholo Re by Bachchan along with top four Indian Idol 6 contestants -- Vipul, Amit, Devendra and Poorvi -- is also a part of the inaugural episode.

The grand opening episode is slated to be wrapped up by Shillong Chamber Choir, the group of singers who won the first season of India's Got Talent.
