PIX: Angelina's Oscar leg show wasn't her first!

So Angelina Jolie's right leg upstaged pretty much everything else at the Oscars this week. Or so the social media tells us.

The actress came dressed in an Atelier Versace strapless gown with a thigh high slit and what a coloumist described as  'infamous lips red like a messily-fed vampire'.

What followed is a mass hysteria on various social media sites, especially Twitter, where a new handle called Angie's right leg was created and has got over 37,000 followers already.

We get that she's a BIG star and whatever she does becomes a talking point. However, this one really trumps us as Jolie has made practically all of her red carpet appearances in the recent past wearing thigh-high slits and sticking her leg out.

So what's new? Why this sudden fixation? While we try to decode this rather strange phenomenon, you take a look at just how many times she's donned this style.

2010

The actress was the epitome of Hollywood glamour as she charmed fans at the Japan premiere of her film Salt in Tokyo In July, 2010.
