Bollywood veteran A K Hangal, who passed away at the age of 98 on August 26, was given a teary farewell by his son Vijay and several of his friends, colleagues from the industry.
The rites took place at Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle, a western Mumbai suburb.
Surprisingly, none of Bollywood's A-listers attended the last rites.
Actress and folk singer Ila Arun, who was good friends with the late actor, was one of the few people from the industry who turned up for the last rites.
Actor Raza Murad, who was apparently shooting for a TV show, took some time out to attend the veteran actor's funeral.
Television actress Sulbha Arya was also spotted at the last rites.
Film and television actor Raj Zutshi arrives for the last rites.
