The Dadasaheb Phalke awards were held at the Tulip Star hotel in Juhu, a western Mumbai suburb, on the evening of May 3.
Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu were in attendance, apart from the winners and several other yesteryear actors who made an appearance at the do.
Director Subhash Ghai caught up with the actors.
Interestingly, on the same evening, Bengali veteran Soumitra Chatterjee was receiving the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke award in New Delhi at the 59th National Awards ceremony, from the hands of Vice President Mohammad Hanif Ansari.
Director Rohit Shetty and Tanisha accompanied Kajol as the latter received her Phalke award.
Dressed in saris, the sisters arrived for the do together and caught up with Shetty.
Amitabh Bachchan also caught up with yesteryear actress and his onscreen mother in many films Sulochana at the do.
Veteran actress Shammi was felicitated by comedians Raju Srivastava as Ehsaan Qureshi applauded.
Producer Ekta Kapoor cut a pretty picture in a black salwar kameez as she received her trophy and citation.
Actresses Raveena Tandon and Anjana Sukhani were also present for the ceremony.
Popular Punjabi folk singer and actor Gurdas Mann was one of the attendees.
The statue of Dadasaheb Phalke was unveiled on the occasion.
