Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak took the nation by storm when it released 25 years ago on April 29, 1988, and made its lead actors -- Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla -- overnight stars.
To celebrate the event, Aamir chatted at length about the film and later held a special screening of the film at Light Box Theatre in Santa Cruz, a western suburb of Mumbai. It was followed by a party at his nephew Imran Khan's home.

Aamir's ex-wife Reena Dutta was spotted at the screening.
Reena had made a blink-and-you-miss appearance in the film in the hit song Papa Kehte Hai.
Aamir and Reena's daughter Ira stayed close to her mother at the screening.
Director Mansoor Khan, who lives in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, made a trip to Mumbai for the special event. In an exclusive chat with us, he told us why QSQT is still relevant today.
Here, he chats with character actor Brij Gopal, who played a henchman in the film, who ultimately shoots the lead characters in the end.

Imran had a small role in QSQT, where he plays the younger version of his 'Mamu' in two scenes.
Music-director duo Anand-Milind and singers Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik, who owe their successful careers to Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak were also present.

Makrand Deshpande, who played a negative role in the film, was spotted chatting with QSQT cinematographer Kiran Deohans.

Shiva played a henchman while Asha played Juhi's mother in the film.
Actors Shehzad Khan and Raj Zutshi were also in attendance.
Raj Zutshi was married to Aamir's sister Nuzhat for a while, but they later divorced in 2006.
