Anurag Kashyap married his girlfriend Kalki Koechlin in the beautiful hill station of Ooty, far away from the maddening crowd of Mumbai.

They got married on April 30 in a village called Kalhatty, in Ooty, under a 100-year old mango tree, the same one that Kalki used to climb on, as a child.

While the couple wore white for the wedding, Kalki changed into a beautiful lehenga for the evening party. Bright colours like fuchsia and orange dominated the lehenga, which was designed by Mumbai designer Laila Motwane. Kalki accessorized it with simple gold jewellery.

The couple got married according to traditional south Indian rituals even though Kalki's parents are French.

Kalki did not want the wedding to become a huge, impersonal event, so they invited only close friends and family members.

It was an emotional day for the bridal couple, as there were a lot of speeches and poems recited by the guests for them.

Kalki will be seen next in Anurag's production, Shaitan, which is all set to release in June.

After that, they will head out for their honeymoon.
