Ash, Salman top the most searched celeb list

A recent survey has revealed that the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam co-stars Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were the most searched celebrities online in the month of May.

We bring you here, the top five actors and actresses on the list.

We start with the women:

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Ash's Heroine was launched at Cannes Film Festival. But the questions most asked were: Who did she wear and how did she wear it?

And that's what made this gorgeous actress the most searched female celebrity on the internet.

Katrina Kaif

This might be a bit of a dampener for the stunner as she's habituated to topping ALL the lists. Well, on a normal day. She's ruled the most searched list for quite a while now and has been pipped by Mrs Bachchan.

From Sheila Ki Jawani to the upcoming Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, there's enough buzz around Kat to last her a lifetime of instant recognition.

Kareena Kapoor

Kareena Kapoor comes in at third slot with back to back releases lined up this year, starting from Ra.One whose promo was recently released.

Then there's much anticipated Agent Vinod with beau Saif Ali Khan.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor, the true fashionista, shone at the red carpet events at the Cannes film festival. She managed to grab more eyeballs than Mallika Sherawat and that's saying something! Therefore, she bagged the number four spot.

Zarine Khan

Rounding off the most searched female list was Zarine Khan with her song Character Dheela from the film Ready being the most downloaded track.

Salman Khan

His latest release Ready is well on its way to becoming the highest grossing film and upcoming projects are only poised for greater things.

Who else did you expect to take the top slot if not Salman?

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor comes in second. Jab We Met and Kaminey helped him break into the big league and his next -- Mausam -- is generating a lot of curiousity as daddy Pankaj Kapoor is intent on maintaining complete secrecy until the film's ready.

Shah Rukh Khan

The list would not sound right without this name. The illustrious King Khan is all set to make a splash with his superhero outing in Ra.One.

And the best, they say, is yet to come.

Akshay Kumar

Akshay can do a mad-cap film like Tees Maar Khan and get away with it. No wonder then that he's graced the list with his presence.

Aamir Khan

Mr Perfectionist rounds off the list. With his production Delhi Belly about to release, he's in the news. Even though he's apparently done a really brief role in the film, it's 'Aamir's film' and not the lead actors in the film.
