Meet the richest men in showbiz

Forbes magazine has released it's annual list of the world's richest men in showbiz for the period of May 2010 to May 2011. We list the top 10 names here. Take a look:

10. Tiger Woods

Despite failing to capture his prime form since his sex scandal, Tiger Woods was at number 10 on the list. He is the best-paid sportsman with $ 75 million.

9. Leonardo DiCaprio

Following the success of his 2010 movies like Inception and Shutter Island. He took home $ 77 million between May 2010 and May 2011, Leonardo DiCaprio stood at ninth spot.

8. Howard Stern

American radio personality and television host Howard Stern took the eighth position with $ 76 million in earnings.

7. Dr Phil McGraw

American psychologist and televisiojn personality Dr Phil McGraw was number seven with $ 80 million in earnings.

6. James Patterson

American author James Patterson, who rose to fame with his series about American psychologist Alex Cross, came in sixth with $ 84 million earned in the last year.

5. Simon Cowell

Television personality Simon Cowell, who made the reality show American Idol a huge success, raked in a whopping $ 90 million and came fifth on the list.

4. Elton John

British singer-songwriter Elton John earned $ 100 million in the past year and took up the fourth spot.

3. Steven Speilberg

Director and producer Steven Spielberg, 64, was third with $ 107 million.

2. Jerry Bruckheimer

Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer was rated second on the Forbes list with $ 113 million, thanks in part to the success of the fourth Pirates Of The Caribbean film and the CSI television series.

1. Tyler Perry

Multi-talented Tyler Perry has grabbed the top spot on the 2011 list.
 
The 42-year-old American actor, who is also a writer, producer and director, topped the list with earnings of $ 130 million between May 2010 and May 2011.
 
The star, who was born in New Orleans, has released four movies over the past year, acting as writer, director and producer, reports the Daily Mail.
