Krrish vs Thor: Which HUNKY Superhero will you choose?
Superhero movies traditionally release only in the summer months but this November sees two films ready to clobber the box office and take audiences hostage.
Krrish 3 releases on November 1, while Thor: The Dark World releases on November 8.
Which of the hunky heroes to choose? Who’s got the hotter girl?
These and other pressing questions are posed to you, dear reader, so you can decide which hero best deserves to rule November.
Krrish vs Thor
In one corner we have Krrish, good-natured and slightly daft, a well-meaning rural character out of place in an urban city.
In the other corner is Thor, gruff and slightly daft, a heroic mythical character -- heck, a god -- out of place in modern surroundings.
Krrish is dark haired and wears a PVC raincoat; the blonde Thor wears shoulderpads, chain-mail armour and a red cape.
Both have long hair, and both are played by actors who are popular with the ladies: Krrish’s Hrithik Roshan is one of India’s biggest stars, and Thor’s Chris Hemsworth is a youngster on the rise.
And it must be said Hemsworth has a truly majestic voice.

Dad vs Dad
Krrish’s father Rohit is played by Hrithik Roshan too, and he’s a vaguely disabled (but definitely annoying) fellow who overacts his face off.
Thor’s father Odin, on the other hand, chews up a fair bit of scenery armed with heavyset Shakespearian dialogue, but played by the legendary Sir Anthony Hopkins, the king is an authority figure we certainly believe in.
Odin’s a strong character, stentorian, dynamic and ready to do anything for the good of the kingdom, including banishing his son.
Rohit stammers a helluva lot, and makes us wish the younger Hrithik took over the scene.

Lover vs Lover
Hrithik’s main squeeze is a young lady called Priya Mehra, played by Priyanka Chopra.
She’s a scatty Singapore-based bimbette who, in the first Krrish, got fired for taking extra vacation time. And as we know Chopra can be seriously irritating in badly written roles Zanjeer.
Thor, in his first film, fell in love with Jane Foster, an astrophysicist played by Natalie Portman.
Jane remained a relatively intelligent character right up to the point Thor showed up in full costume, after which she let her Oscar-winning jaw drop.

Villain vs Villain
Thor’s villains are Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed, ruler of the Dark Elves, a man bent on vengeance, and Loki, the trickster god of mischief played by Tom Hiddleston to such great effect in the first Thor movie and last year’s Avengers spectacle.
Krrish’s villain is Vivek Oberoi doing some sort of feeble Iron Man ripoff.
This one isn’t even a contest, naturally.

Action chick vs Action chick
Krrish might well have the edge in this battle.
Not much in the trailer we saw was madly impressive, but we did sit up and take notice of Kangna Ranaut looking most intriguing in a form-fitting bodysuit, jumping around in her role as an evil mutant.
On Thor’s side of the fence there is a warrior he grew up with, Sif, played by Jaimie Alexander, a badass fighter who has strong feelings for Thor -- or whoever wields Thor’s hammer.

Jadoo vs Thor's hammer
Which brings us to the source of superhero power.
Krrish and his father Rohit got their super abilities because they were touched by an alien back in Koi... Mil Gaya, a blue ET-knockoff who revelled in melodrama. Between the first film and now, Jadoo’s been significantly lampooned by the media, and it is harder than ever to take the character seriously -- as if we did in the first place.
Thor has a magic hammer, Mjolnir, forged from the mystical metal of uru, a hammer that makes him nearly invincible and a hammer that only Thor -- and maybe one or two other characters in the whole Marvel universe -- are allowed to wield.

Director vs director
Krrish 3 comes to us from Rakesh Roshan, a director with a surefire success streak, having made mostly hits that begin with the letter K: Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, Koyla, Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai are all big, seriously excessively big, blockbusters made by Roshan Sr, though one wonders why, if titles are so important to him, he couldn’t get the numbering on this latest one right.
The first Thor film was directed by Shakespeare-expert Kenneth Branagh. This time, the mantle’s been passed to Alan Taylor, who might not have made exceptional films in the past, but is best known for his fine work helming some of the best Game Of Thrones episodes for HBO.
If you’re looking for a monster hit, Rakeshji might well be worth backing, but Taylor’s film may well be less screechy.
