It's raining sequels in Bollywood!

It's raining sequels in Bollywood and 2011 could well become a year in which you can catch the second parts of at least some of these Bollywood's biggest blockbusters.

Here's listing out the most talked-about sequels:

Don 2: The Chase Continues

Well begun is half done, they say. It can't be truer than right here. After Shah Rukh Khan's look for Don 2 was revealed recently, there has been a buzz about the Farhan Akhtar sequel to the 2006 crime thriller which itself was remade from the Amitabh Bachchan blockbuster of the 1970s.

Variously shot in Germany and Malaysia amongst other places, Don 2 is expected to release this summer.

Dhoom 3

The Dhoom series gets bigger and better.

With Aamir Khan to enter as villain (taking over from Hrithik Roshan), Dhoom 3 promises to be one helluva blockbuster. If that's not enough, Aamir will lend his voice to one of the songs, making the adventurous Dhoom a musical experience.

Meanwhile, the rest of cast remains the same, with Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprising their characters of Jai and Ali.

Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2

You can judge the significance of this sequel to the Ajay Devgn-Emraan Hashmi crime-buster by two things -- one, that it stars Akshay Kumar as a don, a character he's not played often enough in his two decade-long career. Two, the original film was the most genuine hit of last year.

In fact, Akshay's look was unveiled recently and this is one role his fans must be looking forward to, as he gets into the garb of Shoaib, the young Don-in-the-making.

Dostana 2

The stakes are getting higher. Unlike the other sequels, expect major changes in Dostana 2. While Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham remain pivotal to the script , rumour has it that Abhay Deol and Riteish Deshmukh have been signed on.

Here's more: Priyanka Chopra is replaced by Katrina Kaif. One of the first Bollywood films to be accepted for its gay innuendos, the Dostana series, it seems, is here to stay.

Race 2

It's turning into a cool multi-starrer and trust Abbas Mustan to do that. The sequel to Race top-lines Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor from the original and features new-entrants Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha.

The earlier leading ladies, Katrina Kaif and Bipasha Basu, are mysteriously absent. According to reports, John Abraham will turn baddie in this slick thriller. Buzz is that Abhishek Bachchan may appear in a cameo. The crew starts shooting in August.

Housefull 2

Sajid Khan's laugh-riot is back. With Akshay Kumar leading the pack and Riteish Deshmukh playing a perfect second fiddle, Sajid has promised a lot of fun and frolic in the sequel.

Asin and John Abraham will be the new addition. Other than that, the director is shooting some 3D action sequences, which have been termed as one of the major highlights of the film. The main USP, of course, remains the comic relief.

Dabangg 2

Even before the sequel to last year's biggest hit kicks off its sequel, it has found itself surrounded by an unwanted controversy. A tu-tu-main-main erupted between producer Arbaaz Khan and director Abhinav Kashyap which eventually led to the latter's ouster. It seems now Arbaaz himself will wield the directorial baton.

Murder 2

In a significant development that may not go down well with sleaze-lovers, Mallika Sherawat won't be in Murder 2. She's been replaced by Jacqueline Fernandez.

Of course, Emraan Hashmi will be at it, doing what he does best. To make sure no ground is lost. The Bhatts promise Murder 2 will have enough titillation to make men go weak in their pants.

Jism 2

The Bhatt bros seem to be loving it. Making sequels, we mean.

After Murder, they've set their sights on Jism 2. Already, there are all sorts of rumours plaguing the film -- some say Mallika Sherawat and Pooja Bhatt had a long a discussion about Jism 2, others insist Bipasha Basu who scorched the screen in the original, won't be considered and there are fresh reports that it will be made with an entirely new star cast.

No Entry 2

Okay, for the record, Anees Bazmee's upcoming Thank You is based on a script he'd originally written as No Entry's sequel. Left with no choice but to pen it again, Bazmee is racking his brain over the sequel to the hit comedy.

With its theme of infidelity and adultery, the director wants to give a weightier role to Salman Khan this time. The Dabangg effect, if you will.
