Stars slam Oprah for her India remark

Queen of talkshows Oprah Winfrey has rubbed Indians the wrong way.

Oprah, who visited India earlier this year, has sparked outrage after the recent broadcast of a two-part TV special about her trip to India. In the show, she said: 'I heard some Indian people STILL eat with their hands.'

Put off by the remark, author Shobha De tweeted: 'Oprah's Last Chapter!That's what angry Indians r calling the much hyped bt ridiculously shabby show.Oprah has lost her groove.Honey,pack up!'

Actress Sandhya Mridul tweeted: 'Dear @Oprah yes many of us still eat with our hands just as many of you use your hands to massacre people in a movie hall!'

Whereas Mini Mathur unfollowed her and tweeted: 'It's time to unfollow @Oprah.'

Arshad Warsi's wife and actress Maria Goretti ‏tweeted: 'it is so sad @minimathur that someone as inspirational as @oprah just did not get the pulse of India, her loss completely ..'

New mum Shilpa Shetty's back on screen!

Shilpa Shetty, who gave birth to son Viaan just two months ago, is back on screen.

She recently shot for an ad for hubby Raj Kundra and their friend Sanjay Dutt's action reality show Super Fight League.

Kundra praised her new look and tweeted: 'Check out the latest #sflchallengers promo with @TheShilpaShetty looking fab after just 2 months of delivering my son!'

While Shilpa tweeted her wishes for the show: 'Well done @TheRajKundra @duttsanjay. SFL challengers lookin like fabulous show. Really looking fwd to seeing some different Reality tv:) :)'

The buzz is that Shilpa has already lost ten kilos of her pregnancy weight and is aiming to shed another nine kilos to get her sizzling figure back.

Midnight's Children, English Vinglish to premiere at TIFF

Deepa Mehta's much-anticipated adaptation of Midnight's Children and Gauri Shinde's English Vinglish will have their world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival 2012 (TIFF).

Excited with the news, actress Shahana Goswami, who stars in Midnight's Children, tweeted: 'Exciting times ahead. Midnight's Children is premiering at Toronto International Film Festival and we'll all be there!! :)'

The Reluctant Fundamentalist, directed by Mira Nair, will also be screened at the festival.
