'Even if you’re fit as Bipasha Basu, you can’t be compared with a man in physical strength.'
Here's why Pooja Gor was the first to get eliminated from Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 5.
Pooja Gor is the first contestant to get eliminated from the adventure reality show Kathron Ke Khilade, over the weekend.
This, even though she picked the most apples with her mouth from a tank filled with snakes!
The television actress found herself in troubled waters when she attempted to pull out catfish from water tanks during the elimination round.
Gor talks to Rajul Hegde/ Rediff.com about her experience on the show.
How would you sum up your experience?
It was one of the most chilling and thrilling experiences of my life.
One doesn’t get an opportunity like this every day, to be part of an adventure show.
I always wanted to do something crazy and adventurous and I got that opportunity in Khatron Ki Khiladi.
I don’t want to forget the thrills we faced during the task and the happiness after the task. I will cherish it throughout my life.

What kind of physical training did you undergo before going on the show?
I couldn’t, as I was travelling and also busy with other commitments.
No matter how much you prepare, the real test depends on the preparation just before the task and your mental strength.
Did you feel bad that you were the first contestant to get eliminated?
No regrets. Someone had to be eliminated and it was me.
But I wish I had survived and continued to be a part of the thrill and adventure.
Did you overcome any fear you’ve had with this show?
I don’t have any phobia as such, but there was some nervousness, stress and anxiety during every task.
I am very scared of taking injections. The very sight of an injection, the thought of getting pricked used to make me nervous.
I feel I have overcome that after doing the show. I feel why should I get scared after doing such an adventurous show?
So, yes, to a certain extent I have overcome my fear. I am proud of this achievement.
Which was the toughest task you performed?
The physical task was the toughest one (crash landing in which choreographer Salman Yusuf Khan and Gor were to perform against each other.)
No matter how fit you are -- even if you are fit as Bipasha Basu -- you cannot be compared with a man in physical strength.
I couldn’t match Salman, who has done various stunts as a dancer and was pitted against me.
What did you think of Rohit Shetty as a host?
He is known for dangerous stunts. As a host, he was awesome motivated and helped us to push the boundaries.
He is a great mentor, strict yet fun.
Did you make new friends?
Yes. I didn’t know anyone except (stunt woman) Geeta Tandon because she had done some stunts on my show.
I was friends with everyone but Rochelle (Maria Rao) and I became good friends. I had met her only once before, during the promotion of the show. Now we are best friends for life. (smiles)
What feedback did you get from family, friends and especially your fans, who have seen you mostly in saris?
I was waiting for the show to go on air and see myself doing those stunts. People have got to see the other side of me.
I got positive reactions from family, friends and fans. I am quite proud of myself for achieving what I have.
Now I want to get back to a daily soap. I don’t want to sit at home for long and just watch television.
I love my work and I miss shooting for a daily soap.
I want to do something bolder, like 24. I would love to be a part of some series format. I believe that’s where the future of TV shows lies.
Which shows do you watch on TV?
Comedy Nights With Kapil and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which is subtle and classy.
How did you boyfriend, actor Raj Singh Arora, react after watching the show?
He was scared initially but now he is proud of me.
