Hrithik: I didn't know I was still so important

After celebrating New Year's Eve on a yacht in Bangkok, Hrithik Roshan ushered in his 39th birthday with yet another yacht party on January 10 in Mumbai.

Hrithik's wife Sussanne had planned a 'surprise' birthday party for the actor on a private yacht but thanks to the media, the party didn't remain a surprise for long.

"I got to know about the 'surprise' party through the newspapers. When I asked Sussanne about it she denied it. But we had fun at the party," Hritik told journalists who had gathered at his Juhu residence in Mumbai on his birthday.

'When someone tells you that you look younger, I think they actually mean older'

Hrithik said he was overwhelmed by the media interest.

"Every birthday, I don't expect to feel so special. But since my last film Agneepath released a year ago, I thought this birthday won't be that special to everyone. I didn't know I was still so important."

Even though he looks quite young for a 39-year-old, the actor insists there is no mantra to looking younger.

"When someone tells you that you look younger, I think they actually mean older. Frankly, there is no mantra to stay younger. One must feel young at heart. I still feel like a newcomer."

Hrithik doesn't believe in making resolutions. "I am not used to making resolutions. They are made to be broken. You must look at a day from sunrise to sunset and make sure every day is well spent."

'Krissh 3 has been one of the toughest challenges'

The actor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming superhero science fiction film Krrish 3 and doesn't want to reveal his superhero look.

He acknowledged that there is tight security surrounding the film.

"I feel that the security is justified because when you create something special you want it to be presented the way it is supposed to be, and at the right time. Krrish is a superhero. If someone takes a candid picture when I am resting on the sets it's not fair as it would destroy the feeling of a superhero."

He says Krrish 3 has been one of his toughest assignments. "I know I say this for all my films, but this film has been one of the toughest challenges, and it is still not over," he said.

The film is scheduled to release around Diwali.

'The film has gone beyond our imagination now'

"We have been after this film since the past five years. The special effects are still left. This Diwali we will come to know how victorious we have been." 

He added, "The expectations from the film motivated us to go beyond boundaries. It has gone beyond our imagination now."

Krrish 3 is directed by Rakesh Roshan and stars Hrithik, Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi.
