Stars share their Navratri, Durga pooja memories
As the nine days of festivites draw to a close, we got Rani Mukerji, Kajol and Sonakshi SInha to share their festive memories and they were more than happy to oblige:
Rani Mukerji said she has been celebrating Durga Puja with much fervor and devotion over the years. Like in all bengali households, Rani's entire family gets together for the festive occasion.
Reminiscing the old days, the actress informed that she started learning Rabindra Sangeet from the Durga Puja pandals that are set up during the festivities.
While Diwali, Christmas, Eid are all festivals to celebrate and enjoy, Durga Puja for Bengalis, according to Rani, is all festivals combined in one. Rani's family have a huge Durga Puja pandal where hundreds of Bengalis from Mumbai throng to pay respects to Durga Ma.
"The entire nine days is practically a carnival with delicious Bengali food and live traditional music. For all those Bengalis who have left their City of Joy and Rabindra Sangeet, Durga Puja in Mumbai is a reunion of sorts with their home and family," she adds.

Kajol
Kajol loves to watch people play Garba during Navratri. She talks about the time from her childhood when she used to serve at the pandals during Durga Puja and play all day.
The actress, known to be a dedicated mother, loves spending time with her kids.
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha reminisced her childhood days when she would get dressed and head to Garba pandals after school. A total foodie, Sonakshi gorged on sweets but made it a point to not miss her gym workout this Navratri. She loves dressing up in saris.
Sonakshi was thrilled when some people recently commented that she had what it took to play Goddess Durga, but according to her, Hema Malini is the only one who is best suited to play the Goddess on-screen or on stage.
