Katy Perry and Russell Brand's three-month marriage has reportedly hit a rocky patch.
The singer is reportedly seeking a marriage counsellor to help smooth over troubles in her marriage to the British comedian, reports the Daily Mail.
The couple are living increasingly separate lives and the I Kissed A Girl singer has allegedly started asking friends to recommend a therapist.
The trouble first made itself known shortly after Brand tweeted an unflattering picture of his make-up free wife last month.
Katy then realised her relationship may need some attention, according to reports in Life and Style magazine.
Brand was the inspiration for her "You think I'm pretty without any makeup on'' lyrics in her Teenage Dream hit song.
The harsh early morning photo was swiftly taken down from Twitter but not before it had gone viral.
To add to their woes they are going to be spending a lot of time apart in the coming nine months with Katy away on her California Dreams world tour which kicks off on February 20 and ends in November.

Ashlee Simpson files for divorce
Pop singer Ashlee Simpson has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of two and a half years, Pete Wentz.
The 26-year-old married former Fall Out Boy bassist in May 2008 and have two-year-old son Bronx Mowgli together.
In the documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, the blonde cited "irreconcilable differences", reports the Daily Mail.
Simpson is seeking joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their toddler and has requested that Wentz be granted visitation rights, according to TMZ.
She is also asking for spousal and child support. The couple reportedly did not sign a prenuptial agreement.
Christina Aguilera ready for divorce
Singer Christina Aguilera has reportedly reached a settlement deal with estranged husband Jordan Bratman ahead of their impending divorce.
Five months after separating from the singer, record producer Bratman has filed court documents stating that he is ready to divorce, reports the Daily Mail.
In his petition, Bratman declared that he has no intention of ''disputing'' the split.
The petition states the former married couple has resolved their property, assets and debts.
Radar, which published the papers, reported that the couple have signed a special agreement.
While Aguilera filed for divorce in October last year, listing the date of the split as September 11, Bratman has listed the date as ''to be confirmed'' in his own petition.
He has cited ''irreconcilable differences'' as the cause of their break-up. He also states that a custody deal has been reached ''privately'' in regards to the couple's 2-year-old son Max.
Barbra Streisand to perform at Grammy awards
Music legend Barbra Streisand is all set to perform at this Sunday's Grammy Awards.
The 68-year-old has received a nomination in the best traditional pop vocal album category for her latest record, 'Love is the Answer', reports the BBC.
The eight-time Grammy winner will also be honoured this week by the Grammy's charitable foundation MusiCares for her "creative accomplishments and philanthropy".
The singer will appear on Friday at the end of a tribute that will see Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder and others perform interpretations of Streisand hits.
Streisand performs only sporadically, unless it is for charity and has toured only four times during her five-decade career.
