Oscar-winners Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock's name is being considered for a feature version of post 9/11 novel Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

Warner Bros and Paramount have reportedly made the offers to Bullock and Hanks for the movie but the studios are yet to begin formal negotiations on the project.

Based on Jonathan Safran Foer novel and set in 2003, the story centers on a 9-year-old boy who finds a key in a vase that belongs to his father, who perished in the September 11 terrorist attacks, and searches to find the lock that goes with it.

Foer's was one of the first American novels to incorporate the September 11 events into the plot, Variety reported online.

Scott Rudin is producing the film and has been developing it since 2005, when Extremely Loud was published. Eric Roth has adapted the novel and Stephen Daldry has been roped in to direct the picture.

If Bullock, who has had a difficult year following her divorce with Jesse James, signs the movie, it would be her first project since her Oscar-winning role in The Blind Side.

Hanks will next be seen opposite Julia Roberts in comedy drama Larry Crowne, which has also been directed and produced by him. Warner and Par, who previously co-produced F Scott Fitzgerald's adaptation The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, are yet to finalise who will handle the domestic and overseas release of the film.

Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie will soon begin work on a film set during the Bosnian War.

The actress made the announcement after a visit to the country's capital Sarajevo on Saturday.

'Upon leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday, Angelina Jolie stated that she will be in the region working on a film this fall,' the Courier Mail quoted the UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency, for whom Jolie works as a goodwill ambassador, as saying.

'The film is a love story set during the Bosnian war of 1992-1995, focusing on a couple who meet on the eve of the war and the effect the war has on their relationship,' it said.

In the statement, Jolie stressed that the film would not carry any political messages and added that the cast would be drawn from the different ethnic groups of the former Yugoslavia.

According to national radio, Jolie will act in the film and direct it as well.

Anna Paquin has wed her True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer this week at a private residence in Malibu, California.

According to Usmagazine.com, both the stars quietly wed on Saturday evening.

Paquin, 28, and Moyer, 40, exchanged vows in front of several guests including actor Elijah Wood and True Blood co-star Carrie Preston.

The news comes only days after the duo, along with True Blood co-star Alexander Skarsgard, appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone wearing nothing but spatters of blood and spoke about the erotic nature of vampires.

Moyer proposed to his Canadian-born girlfriend last August in Hawaii.

'There was a song in the first season, White Sandy Beach in Hawaii, which was kind of funny and ironic,' the New York Daily News quoted him as telling Access Hollywood.

'[It] all started out as a joke and then we decided to go to Hawaii with my kids,' he added.

The couple started dating while filming season one of True Blood in 2008, but did not confirm their relationship until February 2009.
