Pop superstar Lady Gaga has revealed her big plan to break into the Indian music industry via Bollywood.

The singer and her team have launched a formal strategy to spread her brand in the booming Bollywood-crazed India market.
The team has tapped the founders of Desi Hits, a New York-based media company that produces and distributes entertainment content targeted at South Asians all over the world, to help build her brand, particularly in India but also in the large South Asian diaspora.

'The reason I'm going to India now is because I can,' Gaga told the World Street Journal in an exclusive interview. 'I didn't have the money or the resources before to travel and bring all of my things with me and reach an entire new territory of fans,' she said.

The push into India is part of the massive marketing and social-media machine the Gaga team has created around the release of her third album, Born This Way.

'She's expanding her base. In the last album cycle we toured a lot of places in the world, but there were still some territories that we weren't able to go and spend time and really work. India was one of those places,' said Troy Carter, the star's manager.

Gwyneth Paltrow has created both Twitter and Facebook accounts to join the social networking party.

Though her Twitter account has not been formally verified, the 38-year-old actress' first tweet, a link to a self-made video, announced her virtual debut.

'I'm trying to join the 21st century,' the New York Daily News quoted Paltrow as saying as she filmed herself treading the streets of Tribeca in New York City.

'So it's me. I'm on Facebook and Twitter, but not right now. I'm walking down the street looking for a cab,' she said.

The brief video with a quick 'see ya', came to an end abruptly, but that was enough to prompt more than 25,000 people to follow her on Twitter.

Nearly 50,000 have already 'liked' her Facebook page, where she was reported to have posted the same clip and credited herself as an 'actor/director'.

Metallica has been named the best rock group of last three decades.

The All Nightmare Long group topped the poll compiled by UK magazine Kerrang!, beating My Chemical Romance, Slipknot, Green Day and Foo Fighters.

'It gives me a very warm and fuzzy feeling that Kerrang! Magazine have voted Metallica as the band that most changed their lives. I remember the first issue of the magazine in 1981. I had made a pilgrimage to England because I was obsessed with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. I travelled all over the country and that first issue accompanied me everywhere," Contactmusic quoted drummer Lars Ulrich as saying.

Lars also paid tribute to Iron Maiden, who came in at number three on the list, behind Green Day.
