Actress Penelope Cruz, who is married to Spanish actor Javier Bardem, has given birth to their first child.
Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that the baby, whose gender has not been revealed, was born at Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai Hospital, reports News.com.au.
Bardem, 41, and Cruz, 36, were tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in the Bahamas in July last year.
In September the pair confirmed Cruz was expecting.
Padma Lakshmi's ex-lover Adam Dell has filed a suit asking for custody of their 11- month-old baby, Krishna.
Dell, brother of billionaire Dell Inc. founder Michael Dell, is frustrated the Top Chef host has allegedly failed to respond to his pleas for more time with Krishna.
His lawyer, Bill Zabel, has confirmed that Dell filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court.
'Adam Dell, above all else, wants to have an active and substantial role in the upbringing of his daughter with Padma Lakshmi,' the New York Post quoted Zabel as saying.
'Unfortunately, Ms. Lakshmi has severely limited his time with their daughter and has refused to negotiate a reasonable co-parenting agreement. Mr. Dell has tried his best to avoid going to court, but Ms. Lakshmi has given him no other choice at this time,' he added.
Sources say Lakshmi and Dell currently have an agreement, which allows him to see their baby for 7 hours a week. But it's complicated by Lakshmi's filming and travel commitments. Dell had to fly to the Bahamas this month to spend a few hours with Krishna.
'He has to fit into her schedule,' the source added.
'Adam does not want to take the baby away from her. He hopes this will result in a reasonable co-parenting agreement,' another sources said.
The venture capitalist is also said to be seeking to be named on Krishna's birth certificate and have her take his surname along with Lakshmi's.
A rep for Lakshmi said, 'It appears to us that Mr Dell remains more interested in garnering media attention than working out details to see Krishna or in her welfare.'
Actress Kate Hudson and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy have apparently got engaged in secret.
The couple hosted a family party at a London hotel on Monday after jetting from Los Angeles.
'It was an intimate party. They kept their engagement secret as they wanted to celebrate with their nearest and dearest before it became public knowledge,' the Sun quoted a source as saying.
Matt and Kate confirmed last week they were expecting a baby.
The rocker started dating the actress soon after he split from Italian psychologist Gaia Polloni in December 2009.
Take That star Robbie Williams' life will be turned into a West End musical.
Sally Greene -- who owns London's Old Vic theatre and has a 25 per cent stake in Billy Elliot The Musical -- has started auditioning for two 'Robbies'.
The singer has also approved permitting his solo material to be used.
'Robbie is bang up for the musical and thinks it will be a fun production. He loves West End shows and is honoured they will be doing one about his life,' The Sun quoted a source as saying.
Robbie will have plenty of stories from his turbulent pop career to fill a musical. He joined Take That as a cocky 16-year-old and experienced the highs of being in the UK's biggest boyband as well as going on to become a huge solo star.
Robbie's won more Brits than any other artist and sold 1.6million tickets for his world tour in one day during 2006.
He's also shifted more albums in the UK than any other British solo artist in history and played a part in the UK's biggest-selling album of last year when he rejoined Take That to record Progress.
American Pop singer Ke$ha has been sued by DAS Communications, her former managers, for a whopping 14 million dollars after allegedly breaching contract.
The Tik Tok singer signed with the company in 2006 and in September 2008 she left to work with producer Dr Luke.
DAS claim Ke$ha had initially agreed to give them 20 per cent of her future income, with the option to cut the business if she did not land a major label record contract within a year.
Although she failed to pick up a deal within those 12 months, DAS insist they continued a good relationship with Ke$ha until she met Dr Luke, who allegedly 'induced, intimidated and convinced Ke$ha to cut ties' with them.
'Although she has made an incredible amount of money in a very short period of time, in large part due to DAS' efforts on her behalf, she could just as easily lose money if not properly guided,' the Daily Telegraph quoted the legal papers as reading.
'DAS was Ke$ha's manager since the beginning of 2006, and there was a written agreement, and they worked closely, and sometime in September 2008 Dr. Luke, for his own personal gain, somehow induced her to breach that contract. And she unceremoniously terminated DAS without justification and then ended up with Luke, basically,' Ken Freundlich said representing DAS.
'We're going to have our day in court. And we're going to prove that Dr Luke induced her to breach the contract. She had no right to do so, and we're going get damages from her,' Freundlich said.
Lawyer Charles Ortner defended her saying: 'This lawsuit seeks to require her to pay DAS head David Sonenberg commissions on her RCA/Jive record deal that he had nothing to do with, long after she terminated him in writing.'
Spiderman star James Franco has revealed that he will helm a movie based on a novel.
The actor -- who is to host next month's Oscars -- is set to direct As I Lay Dying, which is based on William Faulkner's novel.
'This summer I'm going to direct a movie based on William Faulkner's novel As I Lay Dying,' Contactmusic quoted as telling MTV News.
'I shoot a test of the whole movie before I make a movie. So we just shot a test,' he added.
Director Danny Boyle has revealed that he keeps his Oscar hidden under his bed at home.
The Brit won the Best Director Oscar in 2008 for Slumdog Millionaire, but, after having the honour on display at home for a while, he decided to store it away.
'It's in a shoe bag in a box under the bed. I used to have it out (on display) and get up every day and you just can't look it -- it's like an elephant in the living room, you cannot avoid it,' the Daily Express quoted him as telling Studio Five.
This year too, Boyle has been nominated in the Best Adapted Screenplay category for gritty survival drama 127 Hours.
