HIGHEST PAID TV actors: Sofia Vergara beats Ashton Kutcher

Modern Family's Latina housewife Sofia Vergara has bagged the top spot in Forbes magazine's newest list of highest paid TV stars.

The Columbian actress and model's income was buoyed by her paycheck from the hit sitcom as well as several endorsement deals.

2. Ashton Kutcher

Entrepreneur and actor Ashton Kutcher, who has been dominating highest paid lists ever since he replaced Charlie Sheen on Two And A Half Man, slipped down to the second spot with $24 million in earnings.

But the actor still earns the most among male actors on television.

3. Jon Cryer

Kutcher's costar Jon Cryer, who plays the hapless Alan Harper on the show, took home $21 million dollars and figures at number 3 in the list.

4. Ray Romano

Comedian Ray Romano, who is still making money from the syndication of his hit creation Everybody Loves Raymond, pocketed a cool $16 million and figures at number four.

5. Mark Harmon

Owing to its large viewership, NCIS stars get fat paychecks too.

Cast member Mark Harmon figures at number five with $15 million in earnings. 

6. Neil Patrick Harris

How I Met Your Mother star, model and an impressive awards show host, Neil Patrick Harris accumulated an yearly income of $15 million in the past year.

7. Patrick Dempsey

Grey's Anatomy's Dr McDreamy is doing quite well for himself in real life too.

Patrick Dempsey took home an impressive $13 milion.

8. Tim Allen

Home Improvement star Tim Allen figures in top ten too with $11 million in earnings.

9. Kaley Cuoco

The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco is at number nine with $11 million in yearly earnings.

10. Mariska Hargitay

Law And Order's longtime cast member Mariska Hargitay -- she's been on the show for 14 years -- gets paid really well for her work.

She took home $11 million and rounds off the top ten.
