There's some exciting news about 'Golden Star' Ganesh.

The Kannada actor is all set to sing for the very first time in his upcoming movie Maleyalli Jotheyalli which is being produced by his wife Shilpa Ganesh and directed by Preetham Gubbi. Ganesh will be joining the list of heroes like Dr Vishnuvardhan, Shivaraj Kumar, Upendra, Puneet Raj Kumar, Sudeep, Vijaya Raghavendra and others who have sung in films.

What's more, his heroines are Hindi film stars Anjana Sukhani and Uvika Chowdhary. Anjana has already worked in Hindi films like Golmaal Returns and Salaam-E-Ishq while Yuvika Chowdhary had a small role in Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanthi Om. Yuvika is also a finalist in Zee TV's Cinestar's ki Khoj and had also acted in the teleserial Ashthithwa.

Veteran actor Rangayana Raghu is playing one of the important characters in the film, which will be launched on July 2, which also happens to be Ganesh's birthday.

During a press conference to announce the cast and crew of the film, Ganesh said that he will once again be returning to his lover boy image.

"Thankfully Preetham Gubbi's story had such elements that I immediately agreed to proceed with the script. Everything fell into place within a short time. Even the selection of two heroines was not a problem," Ganesh added.

The film's cinematographer is Krishna, dialogues by journalist Devashetty Mahesh and Vinayakram, and music by Hari Krishna.

A major portion of the film will be shot in the rain in locations like Madikeri, Sakleshpur and other places in the Kodagu-Chickmagalur district belt.
