These days, every film simply has to have an item number.
Whether it's a serious film like Shanghai or a full-on commercial comedy like Houseful 2, these numbers seem to have become a must-have.
And these numbers are not restricted to fresh faces but also star top actors like Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan and even Amitabh Bachchan.

Kareena Kapoor will be performing an item number in what may be her career highlight, Heroine, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar.
While her look in Halkat Jawaani looks interesting, it cannot compare to her sizzling Chammak Challo avatar in Ra.One.
Sonakshi Sinha will perform a raunchy number in Shirish Kunder's Joker, starring Akshay Kumar. It will be choreographed by Farah Khan.
Let's see if their chemistry looks as good as their previous film together, Rowdy Rathore.

After teaming up with son Abhishek and his then future daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai in the hit item number Kajra Re in Bunty Aur Babli, the Bachchan men teamed up again in a special number in Bol Bachchan.
Ajay Devgn joins them in the song, composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
Salman Khan danced in the item song Munni Badnam Hui with his sister-in-law Malaika Arora Khan in Dabbang.
