Movie poster of Jai Ho

Following Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai Express and Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3, it’s Salman Khan’s turn to rock the marquee with his latest offering, Jai Ho.

Previously titled Mental, Jai Ho is a remake of A R Murugadoss’ Stalin starring Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi (which also took inspiration from Hollywood’s Pay It Forward) and helmed by Salman’s younger brother Sohail.

Ever since its first poster came out, the buzz for Jai Ho has only gotten bigger and better.

Here are FIVE reasons we are MOST CURIOUS about Bhai’s shiny new release.

Love at first poster!

For an actor who thrives on unpretentious, full-bodied masala capers, the artwork for Salman Khan’s upcoming treat is notably creative.

Immediately after the first look was launched, social networking sites went ga ga over the 'People’s Man’ canvas which merges multitude images of his fans against a self-portrait painted by the star himself.

Salman Khan in Dabangg 2

Jai Ho is Salman Khan’s first release since Dabanng 2, which came out on December 21, 2012.

While his fans catch a glimpse of him every weekend on small screen courtesy the ongoing reality television series of Bigg Boss Season 7, it’s no substitute for his big screen antics that are known to attract an unprecedented rush in the theatres.

Fab in fatigue!

Salman Khan in Dabangg 2

Though his shirtless appearances are legendary, the well-built 47-year-old looks rather dashing in uniform.

After playing a maverick cop Chulbul Pandey, he’s all set to play an Army major in Jai Ho. And if the on-the-set captures of his look, all over the web, are any indication, there will be wolf whistles.

Salman Khan

Between Dabangg and Dabangg 2, Salman Khan has starred in three other movies — Ready, Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger. All the five films have gone on to phenomenal business at the box-office.

Bottomline: Salman hasn’t delivered a single flop in three years.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan broke the record of his previous blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger with Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express.

At a press conference, the incorrigible star declared he’d retaliate at SRK, Aamir or Ranbir Kapoor in the field by breaking their box-office records and making new ones.

Jai Ho to that!

Tabu in David

It’s always nice to see Tabu back on silver screen. This year made a wishy washy appearance in Bejoy Nambiar’s David. 2014 looks promising. Apart from Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider, she’s sharing screen space with Salman in Jai Ho. (We have an inkling she may be essaying Khushboo’s role from Stalin.)

Tabu has previously worked with the actor in films like Jeet and Biwi No 1.

Let’s not forget the Bigg Boss connection. Former contestants Sana Khan and Ashmit Patel have key roles in 'Bhaijaan’s' home production, which also stars Daisy Shah and Bruna Abdullah.
