The who's who of Bollywood was in full attendance at the 56th Filmfare Awards held over the weekend at Yash Raj Studio, Mumbai.
Here's a look at the winners, performers and red carpet hotties.
Priyanka Chopra left her Income Tax raid worries at home, and wowed audiences with her jhatkas on stage.
Veteran actress Rekha was on hand to present Kajol with the Best Actress trophy award for her performance in My Name is Khan.
My Name is Khan won again in the Best Actor (Shah Rukh Khan) and Best Director (Karan Johar) categories.
The Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg was chosen the Best Film. Though Salman was not to be seen, his brother and the film's producer Arbaaz Khan and wife Malaika Arora Khan were on hand to represent the film.
Best debut awards went to Sonakshi Sinha (Dabangg), Ranveer Singh (Band Baja Baraat) and director Maneesh Sharma for Band Baja Baraat.
Sonakshi tweeted about her big win, and also posted a picture: 'And Dabangg wins 5 at the filmfares! Including this ;)'
Kareena Kapoor received the Best Supporting Actress award for her work in We Are Family, while her uncle Rishi Kapoor bagged the Best Actor Critics Award for his performance in Do Dooni Char.
Ronit Roy received the best supporting actor trophy for Udaan while Vidya Balan bagged the best actress critics award for Ishqiya.
Arshad Warsi, who lost out to Roy, tweeted,' I lost the Award to a very competent actor n I am truly happy for Ronit Roy...'
Sajid Wajid walked away with the Best Music Composer honour for Dabangg.
Farah Khan was adjudged the Best Choreographer for Sheila Ki Jawani (Tees Maar Khan). Best Background Score award went to Amit Trivedi for Udaan.
Veteran Gulzar received the Best Lyricist award for his song Ibn-e-Batuta from Ishiqya.
Amitabh Bachchan flew down from Bhopal to receive a special award for his 40 years in the film industry.
Bachchan, who came with bahu Aishwarya Rai, is shooting for Arakshan with Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan in the Madhya Pradesh capital.
While Madhuri Dixit, who performed live with Shah Rukh for the first time, received a special award for her 25 years in the film industry, veteran singer Manna Dey was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Meanwhile, Raveena Tandon and Sridevi looked awesome in their individual outfits.
Urmila Matondkar and Katrina Kaif looked gorgeous in Manish Malhotra's designs.
Manish Malhotra tweeted: 'pleasure dressing aishwarya:katrina :preity zinta : kajol: madhuri:urmila :raveena for the filmfare awards lastnight. I am all for indian wear on the red carpet :-)'
The show's co-host Imran Khan came with wife Avantika Malik.
Ranbir Kapoor was the other host.
The red carpet saw a number of gowns like the ones worn by Prachi Desai and Neha Dhupia.
The hotties parade continued with Sameera Reddy and Mugdha Godse.
Sameera later tweeted: 'Filmfare Awards was amazing! Madhuri Dixit accepted an award for 25 yrs!she spoke so well & looked ravishing! shes still my Fav!'
