Batman star Christian Bale met survivors of the Colorado cinema shooting and thanked medical staff and police officers who responded to the attack that killed 12 people and injured 58 others.
Bale visited the makeshift memorial of the victims near the cinema that was showing The Dark Knight Rises when the gunfire erupted, reported Daily Mail.
Carey Rottman, one of those injured in Friday's shooting, posted two photos of himself with Bale on his Facebook page.
Bale, dressed casually in a black T-shirt and jeans, thanked the staff, shook hands and agreed to have his photo taken with employees.
Janie Bowman-Hayes, assistant vice president of surgical services at sister hospital Swedish Medical Centre, said, "She
and co-workers were attending a luncheon at The Medical Centre of Aurora when Bale came and thanked staff who tended to
victims.
"He just said he wanted to come to thank all of us because he has been thinking about this. He knows the whole world has been thinking about this. He took it upon himself to come and thank us," she added.
Bale, who stars as Batman in The Dark Knight Rises, previously issued a statement saying, "Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."
Canadian actor Michael Cera and American singer-songwriter and occasional actress Taylor Swift are likely to play the main leads in the English remake of superhit Hindi film Bunty Aur Babli.
The remake is being made by Uday Chopra, who has launched 'YRF Entertainment' in the US to produce English films.
"I am also remaking Bunty Aur Babli in English. It's in the scripting stage and the casting is not done. I am looking at Michael Cera and Tailor Swift. I haven't approached them as yet, but I want to make it a little more quirky and comic than the Indian one," Uday told reporters here last evening.
"I have certain ideas for other films. As of now, I feel that the only film which went best with the sensibilities of the west was 'Bunty Aur Babli'," he said.
Produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra, Bunty Aur Babli featured Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee in the
lead. The 2005 superhit film is about two lovable crooks, who venture into many adventures like the fake selling of the Taj
Mahal.
Uday clarifies that the production house will go for international cast and crew for the films that they make their. "The idea is not to take Indian actors there. The idea is to think of ourselves as an American company. Writers, directors everyone will be from there. I don't want them to feel that I am taking India to Hollywood. If a story requires an Indian character or if A R Rahman agrees to do my music, I will like it," he said.
