While some were away from home, working others were celebrating Diwali with their families. Here's how some of the Bollywood stars brought in Diwali this year.

Mallika Sherawat had a small puja in LA. 'havin a small Diwali puja;)' she tweeted.

Shah Rukh Khan was in Toronto. 'happy diwali to everyone back home. in toronto looking at the tower...its head in the clouds..flying.. unreadable by the ground walkers,' he wrote.

Anupam Kher who is in USA shooting for The Silver Linings was feeling lonely. 'Being alone on Diwali is not a nice feeling. But your msgs full of love are so overwhelming. THANKS. Happy Diwali from #Philadelphia.:)

Neil Nitin Mukesh partied with the Bachchans and Asin. 'One of the best diwalis ever.it was asins birthday , then I went for yash uncles (chopra) party brought back some childhood memories. Then went to big brother @juniorbachchan diwali party. Honestly never enjoyed myself more,ever.What a lovely family and great hosts.respects,' he updated.

Gul Panag celebrated Diwali at her husband's place in Delhi. 'At HIS house #Diwali was celebrated the traditional way- oil diyas only. Hadn't done that since my days of living at the village ! Despite having advised rest, Hrithik Roshan who is suffering from Repetitive Stress Injuries is shooting today for Agneepath at Madh Islands.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is upset with someone using a fake id to mock him and write nasty messages about Shah Rukh and others on twitter.

'ATTENTION !!! Someone using my fake ID and writing rubbish ..My ID is @SrBachchan .. fake ID being disgustingly used is @SrBachhann. Fake ID of mine being used to write opinions on Ra.One .. I have not even seen the film and shall always wish the best for ShahRukh,' he tweeted.

But it seems that the actor has had enough. 'Of late a great amount of negative, malicious, completely untrue remarks being written against me .. I shall bear with silence .. but BEWARE THE FURY OF A SILENT MAN ... !!!! There's a limit to what can be said, a limit to what I can tolerate .. much is in my control .. think well before you malign me !! and not just these comments on Ra.One ..many malicious, completely false accusations are being directed to me..I will not tolerate !' he added later.

According to director Mahesh Bhatt, trade insiders say that Ra.One is below Bodyguard. 'My maid says Ra One is below expectations.TOI says it collects 22 crores on the first day! The trade says it is below BODYGUARD. Who is right?' he tweeted.

He also took a dig at critics. 'Writing film reviews is the surest shortcut to a sensation of power for those who lack the dedication or courage to make film themselves. Ra.One director Anubhav Sinha shared a video of fans dancing in threatre to the Chammak Challo song. He also declared Kareena as the best in the business. 'This one is dedicated to Kareena, the best in the business,' he tweeted with the video.

Shah Rukh Khan too commented on the video. 'saw utube ppl dancing 2 chamak challo in theater.kareena was rite.chamak challo wins.my disadvantage is ppl can't fly when i fly in the film,' he wrote.
