Social activist Anna Hazare has gained support from all over, including Bollywood. Celebrities like Anupam Kher, Farhan Akhtar and Hrithik Roshan have already come forward in support of his cause. But there are some voices of dissent as well.
Mahesh Bhatt thinks the Jan Lokpal bill is a false oasis. 'Life is not a movie. Team Anna is 'selling' u a happy ending, a mirage. The Jan lok pal bill is a false oasis,' he tweeted.
Sonam Kapoor tweeted. 'I've got hundreds of tweets asking me if I support anna hazare. Yes I do! He's a great man. And his cause is greater,' she tweeted.
Bipasha Basu supports Anna completely. 'This deadlock is disturbing.10th day of fast for Anna.What is the way forward?Wht happens from here?' she wrote.
Ranvir Shorey wants Anna Hazare to start a political party. 'I, for one, want #AnnaHazare & team to end the fast and start a Political Party. My vote confirmed,' he updated.
Anurag Kashyap tweeted a neutral opinion: 'Anti corruption does not mean pro Anna, Pro democracy does not mean anti Anna, with the bill does not mean with the either by govt or anna.'
Rahul Bose believes the movement is anti-democratic. 'it's totally anti-democratic. imagine one day a janlokpal panel made up of very intelligent rightwing despots. the mobilisation of the middle class by anna, arvind, prashant and the rest has been INCREDIBLE, but to what end?... change has to come from WITHIN a democracy. To clean it up doesn't mean you set anti-democratic precedents,' he wrote.
Ram Gopal Varma tweeted in his own satirical way: 'I wonder how many of the nation wide supporters of Anna if given power themselves will not become corrupt. People in power will always be corrupt nd people without power will always be jealous.'
Shabana Azmi, on the other hand, wants all three bills to be debated. 'I support anti corruption fervour..all 3 bills govt's lokpal, anna's jan lokpal n aruna roy's should be debated in parliament,' she wrote.
