While at one hand it's all celebration for fans and Bachchan family over Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy, there is a debate going on amongst the producers of Bollywood.
Rumour has it that Aishwarya's pregnancy has made many producers think about implementing a 'pregnancy clause' in the contract before starting any project.
And Shabana Azmi feels there is nothing sexist about it. 'Insurance companies in Hollywood insist on many clauses including no pregnancy to safeguard huge monetary investments. its not sexist,' she tweeted.
Bollywood stars paid their tribute to noted filmmaker Mani Kaul, who passed away today, in New Delhi, after a prolonged illness.
Anurag Kashyap tweeted: 'RIP Mani Kaul. One of India's great filmmakers unfortunately Europeans are more familiar with his work than are Indians.'
Ranvir Shorey and Madhur Bhandarkar also wrote their condolences. 'Mani Kaul - RIP'
Anupam Kher tweeted: 'Mani Kaul was one of the pioneer of new wave cinema in India. And a great conversationalist. Will miss his persona. RIP.'
Shekhar Kapur wrote kind words for the filmmaker. 'RIP Mani Kaul. Friend. Director. A life passionately dedicated to exploring the outer edges of the art of film. Will b missed. The passing away of friends reminds you of the value of this moment,' he updated.
Onir recalled his meeting with Kaul. 'Sad to hear about Mani kaul. Remember the first time he called me I was in berlin. I was so excited n nervous that I could'nt talk. I pretended I was in Black forest and could'nt hear him properly as I was excited. I felt like a fool as he had called to invite my film,' he wrote.
Priyanka Chopra took some time off and took her mother out in Las Vegas. 'mommys day out..happy 4th of july here yall..LA was the place to be last night!!' she tweeted with picture (left).
Karan Johar, on the other hand, is waiting for his mom to come back. 'Am waiting dutifully at home for my mother to return from her vacation...what do I say...the MUMMY returns!!!' he tweeted.
Director Madhur Bhandarkar went to the Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings. 'Great Darshan in golden temple,' the director tweeted with the picture (left).
Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, has returned from his trip to Ajmer Sharif. 'Back home after Ajmer Sharif .. the peace and divine ..and into the city of dreams, to start off yet again on the promotion of next !' he tweeted.
