Ram Gopal Varma garnered a lot of criticism from fans and people from the film industry -- including Mahesh Bhatt -- for his choice of words for praising Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap.
Defending himself, RGV blamed it on Aamir Khan and Delhi Belly. 'Function of language is 2 express a feeling.they were the the most apt words I could find to describe my feelings after watching Bbhuddah. And in the times of Bose D K I think this is the correct language..I really thank Aamir for taking the lid off nd forcing india to grow up,' he tweeted.
Anurag Kashyap used cuss words and favoured Ram Gopal Varma's views. 'Boos Delhi Belly is the gamechanger and how.. Period. Funny thing about the success of delhi belly is all the hypocritical moralists, trade pandits have to shove their mouth up their own a****. What was Vulgar language and against our culture has now become raunchy and bold because it's Aamir, that is a gamechanger,' he tweeted.
RGV was quick to praise Anurag but the latter's rant didn't stop there: 'actually the whole country right now will have to shut up..real language has now been validated, it'll not be vulgar anymore.'
As the war between Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap and Delhi Belly rages on, several stars who watched the latter couldn't keep themselves from tweeting about the experience.
Sameera Reddy thoroughly enjoyed Delhi Belly. 'Delhi belly is awesome! Laughed non stop! Aamir makes a full on item! Must watch!!' she tweeted.
Tusshar Kapoor shared a similar opinion. 'Delhi Belly is such a fantastic film, extremely well written, well performed, funny and unpretentious. Definitely smarter than The Hangover!' he wrote.
Konkona Sen Sharma also loved the film. 'Really enjoyed Delhi Belly! Go and watch!' she tweeted.
After her comeback in Bollywood with Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap, Raveena Tandon has signed a film called Alert, opposite Sanjay Dutt. The actress tweeted about her role and look in the film.
'Excited now about Alert, back to chiffon sarees!!The character I'm playing is very powerful, looking forward, different from BHTB. In BHTB,I was playing a loud madcap, over the top kinda woman, who overdresses, drama queen is Flamboyant, totally opp of hemaji role. Some got it,and some didn't..,but in Alert, its the opposite, an understated sophisticated powerful woman..' she tweeted.
As far as her missing item number in Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap is concerned, it's going to be featured in the DVD. 'Yes sadly, I've mentioned before that, chandigarh ki star was just a promo song, but now I hear puri sir is adding it in the dvd release,' she added later.
