Last week, four filmmakers -- Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee and Zoya Akhtar -- came together to make short films for Bombay Talkies, a film celebrating the 100 years of Indian cinema. The film has opened to good reviews, and is doing well in select multiplexes in major cities.

The week's other release Shootout At Wadala opened well in Maharashtra especially in single screen theatres. Still, it hasn't proven to be a major success yet.

Trade analyst Vinod Mirani gives the box office verdict for the week.
