Yes, it isn't for everybody. Even if you come from an illustrious filmi family.
What do Kumar Gaurav, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor have in common?
Born with the quintessential silver spoon, the children of famous Bollywood stars seem to have the best of everything -- grooming, launch pads, exposure, you name it.
Every year a representative of this category arrives on the scene amidst huge hype and fanfare -- Kamal Haasan and Sarika’s daughter, Akshara, Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya and Anil Kapoor’s handsome son, Harshwardhan are next in line to make a hugely-anticipated debut.
Not everyone, however, choose to follow in the footsteps of their illustrious mommy-daddy.
On that note, here’s looking at the star kids, who declined stardom.
Ahana Deol
Unlike her elder sister, Esha, Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s youngest beti didn't show any serious inclination to become an actress.
Instead, the low-profile Ahana dabbled with the technical aspects of filmmaking while pursuing her love for Oddisi dance.
The 28-year-old recently got engaged to a Gurgaon-based businessman, Vaibhav Vora and will wed on February 2.

Rhea Kapoor

After producing and styling Aisha, the 26-year-old is busy with her next project, the Khubsoorat remake directed by Shashank Ghosh and starring sister Sonam in a role formerly played by Rekha.
Shweta Bachchan Nanda
Image: Shweta Bachchan Nanda with Aishwarya Rai, Jaya and Amitabh BachchanAmitabh Bachchan’s daughter, Shweta eloquent and elegant candidly told Vogue once, “I don’t think I have the talent or the face to be a heroine.”
While everyone in her family -- superstar dad, mom Jaya, brother Abhishek, sister-in-law Aishwarya and in-laws (Raj Kapoor is her husband Nikhil Nanda’s maternal grandfather) -- is into movies, Shweta is happy running her home, husband and two kids, Navya Naveli and Agastya.
Though she did host a show, GenNext for NDTV Profit in 2007.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni

Rishi and Neetu Kapoor’s gorgeous daughter wasn't too keen on following her family profession.
While her baby brother, Ranbir is doing exceedingly well with a spate of award-winning performances, Riddhima shifted base to Delhi after marrying her industrialist beau Bharat Sahni and is into jewellery designing.
Saba Ali Khan
Image: Saba and Soha Ali KhanLike Riddhima, Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s second born Saba too chose the glitter of baubles over the sparkle of screen.
While Bollywood and its feverish pace consume her siblings Saif and Soha, Saba, a huge movie buff, doesn't see herself as an actress and is completely focussed in creating intricate pieces of jewellery.
Sunaina Roshan

Even as her father and brother -- Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan -- create make-believe turmoil for celluloid, Sunaina has fought quite a few personal battles of her own.
From a broken marriage to cancer, Sunaina, who plays a key role in supervising her family’s home production Filmkraft, has survived quite a few ugly ordeals.
No wonder her Krrish brother regards her as the real superhero in his life.
Kush Sinha

Son Luv made a disastrous debut in Sadiyaan and is aspiring to make a comeback.
His twin Kush expressed a desire to direct films with both his actor siblings around two years back.
What can we say? We’re still waiting.
Shaheen Bhatt

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan’s youngest baby, Alia is making waves in tinsel town ever since Karan Johar gave her a dream launch in Student of the Year.
Her elder sister, Shaheen doesn't consider herself too 'camera friendly.' Instead she likes to operate from behind the scenes.
From assisting Vikram Bhatt on Raaz 3 to co-writing for films like Son of Sardaar and Jism 2, Shaheen's ultimate aim is to call the shots.
Anshula Kapoor

Boney and first wife Mona Kapoor’s second born, Columbia grad Anshula may not have her face plastered all over the city like bhaiya, Arjun (Ishaqzaade, Aurangzeb, Gunday).
As of now, she’s shown zero interest in becoming yet another star Kapoor to join the Bollywood bandwagon.
Meghna Oberoi Bama

A trained singer with tremendous flair for painting, Suresh Oberoi’s lovely daughter Meghna shunned the limelight to settle down with businessman Amit Bama.
Interestingly, Meghna took up a course at Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting school but didn't wish to take it further like her brother Vivek (who’s starred in successes like Company, Saathiya and Krrish 3).
